April 29, 2025 – Based on current usage patterns determined by the electronic pass system and Captains’ inputs, the Ferry schedule will change effective May 1, 2025. The Ferry will be operating on the summer schedule beginning May 1, 2025. The operating hours will be 8:30 am to 6:30 from May 1 to September 30.

This decision was based on the minimal volume of passengers for sunset trips, especially during long hot Florida days. These long days can be very taxing on the Captains, especially since they arrive about an hour before the Ferry opens to prepare for the day and remain an hour after the Ferry closes to shut down.

This change makes the daily schedule sustainable and helps the Trust retain Captains. Thank you!
