28 March 2025 – The Beach Ferry and Ferry Dock House are experiencing some mechanical issues. The Beach Ferry motor has malfunctioned. It is still under warranty, if maintained by a certified dealer and marine mechanic, and the Trust has a spare. Also, the Ferry battery bank must be replaced. Finally, the Ferry lift motor is malfunctioning and must be repaired to remove the Ferry from the water. The certified marine mechanic will perform repairs as soon as he is able. We are waiting for his estimate on when he can repair it. Check the website for updates. Also, the Trust will text message any schedule changes, such as the Ferry opening. Thanks for your patience!

The Beach Ferry did pass the Coast Guard inspection with the efforts of the Captains and Trust members. Their efforts to quickly comply with inspector comments resulted in the approval to operate. Thank you to all involved!
