As a homeowner in the South Venice Beach Community, you are also a stakeholder in 1,300 feet of beachfront and environmentally sensitive land on the barrier island plus over seven acres on the mainland. These properties have been cared for and managed by volunteers. Our primary source of operating income has been ferry and boat ramp fees. The SVBET welcomes money donations and volunteers.   We are a completely volunteer organization managing substantial infrastructure and operations.  Volunteers and money donations help us keep our fees at a minimum. The SVBET fees for access to our great waters, wildlife, and the beach are comparatively low!  When compared to local neighborhood HOA fees, our fees are very, very low for substantially more benefits.

February 2024 Burgers at the Beach Fund Raiser

To volunteer, please go here to learn how.  We need volunteers to help maintain our infrastructure, help with fund raisers, or even lead by serving on the Board of Trustees.  We currently have a have a few very dedicated and  appreciated volunteers but we always need more.   Past volunteer projects include landscaping, sand dune restoration, beach clean-up, security improvements, and fund raisers. More recently, volunteers have been critical in efficiently and cost effectively repairing damage to boardwalks caused by powerful storms, such as Ian.  We can also use volunteers to manage our internet presence and other more technical tasks.  Please VOLUNTEER!  Thank you in advance.

Finally, you can contribute by visiting our online Shop here and purchasing our products like T-shirts, memorial brick pavers, and yes, even sharks’ teeth!
