South Venice Civic Association
The South Venice Civic Association protects, preserves, and improves our community’s character, condition, and quality of life for the residents and properties in and around the South Venice Subdivision. We provide and sustain diverse communication channels, civic forums, and social networking opportunities with educational and recreational resources to support these values.-adopted October, 2010
The South Venice Community Center is located at 720 Alligator Drive in beautiful South Venice Beach. Offices are open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 9:oo am until 1:00pm. Here you may join the SVCA, as well as purchase an annual ferry pass to the beach or a key to the boat ramp through the South Venice Beach Endowment Trust.
Why does your membership matter?
We’re your voice in Sarasota County. We keep an eye on civic and service issues that affect South Venice— like tree trimming, ditch mowing, code enforcement, mosquito spraying, drain maintenance, zoning, permitting, water and sewer. The larger our membership, the stronger our voice!
Your membership supports neighborhood improvement projects: Siesta Creek Water Quality Taskforce; Shamrock Park monthly clean-ups; Beautiful Neighborhood initiatives; Community Emergency Response Team and much more.

Year round social activities: dinner dances, potlucks, business EXPO, art shows, breakfast with Santa & the Easter Bunny and book club. You meet your neighbors and make friends!
