Sunday, March 3 2024 – The “NO WAKE” sign on the north side of the Beach Ferry Dock House destroyed by recent storms has finally been replaced. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s office is working to enforce the no wake zone to protect the Beach Ferry and improve safety.
A new, convenient and secure kayak, canoe & paddle board launch area has been created to ensure our members have dedicated access to the intracoastal watery. The SVCA is responsible for appointing one South Venice Beach Endowment Trust (SVBET) member annually. This year, 2 people were nominated and the SVCA interviewed and selected Dan as the new Trustee. Dan will serve a 5 year term.
FERRY PASSES WILL BE SOLD and PHOTOS WILL BE TAKEN at the SVCA office 720 Alligator Dr. on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00 pm.
